For critical applications, the certification pack can be as important as the component itself. SNB manages material traceability, inspection records, test reports and certification documentation aligned to the customer and project requirement.

Quality-Led Supply
Supplying the correct component is only one part of the requirement. The material, inspection records, testing evidence, treatment history, coating documentation and final certification pack must also align with the customer's specification. SNB reviews the documentation requirement at enquiry stage and manages the required records through to delivery.
Traceability Managed from Material to Final Documentation
Where required by the specification, materials are sourced with mill heat, cast or batch references. Records can link the original material source through to the finished component and final certification pack. Identification can use marking, etching, stamping or another appropriate method where specified.
Certification & Documentation Packs
SNB assembles certification packs to match the customer and project requirement. Documentation supplied depends on the specified standard, inspection level and technical requirement.
Inspection & Dimensional Control
Dimensional inspection is completed using appropriate calibrated measuring equipment suitable for the feature being verified. Calibration records can be supplied where required by the project or customer specification.
Testing Support
Supplementary testing can be coordinated through suitable specialist facilities and, where specified, UKAS-accredited laboratories. Results can be included in the certification pack.
Heat Treatment, Coatings & Special Processes
Where specified, supporting records can include heat-treatment certificates, furnace charts, temperature records, post-treatment test results, coating or plating CoCs, application records and specified thickness measurements.

Review the drawing, standard and documentation requirement.
Confirm the required certification level and supplementary documents.
Source material with the appropriate mill certification.
Coordinate testing, treatment and coating where required.
Complete or coordinate dimensional inspection.
Compile and check the certification pack.
Supply documentation with the order or in advance where required.
